Demonstration projects
We have developed several prototype systems in order to demonstrate the efficacy and practicality of our innovative drivetrain technology. In 2009, we installed a 20 kW wind turbine incorporating our drivetrain and developed a complete control and monitoring system for the turbine. Most recently, a 250 kW Brushless DFIG and its accompanying power electronics and control systems were built and tested on a test bed. Our engineering team is currently designing a multi-MW drivetrain to be retrofitted onto a wind turbine, followed by a site test.
