Local manufacturing

Since it is not cost effective to transport towers and blades for long distances, they are often manufactured locally. A number of other components including main shaft, nacelle bedplate and cover, nose cone and transformer can be practically made in most countries since they do not involve high-tech processes.

We provide support in establishing and/or identifying local manufacturers for the key components of wind turbines. We often carry out a comprehensive survey to understand and assess the local technological and industrial capabilities in order to develop a detailed plan for localising the manufacturing of wind turbine components.

We can provide you with the transfer of technology and production facility setup for wind turbine components through our in-house team of engineering experts and in conjunction with our established partner companies. Our transfer of technology package includes:

- Factory layout design and specifications;

- Equipment specifications and recommendations;

- Procurement of machineries and tools;

- Personnel training;

- Supply of product design specifications and drawings;

- Prototype production;

- Support in material procurement;

- Production supervision; and

- Testing and certification.
