Wind Technologies opens its second international office in Tehran, after being appointed as Project Consultant for a 100 MW wind power project in Khaf, Iran. The wind industry in the Middle East and Central Asia, particularly in Turkey and Iran has taken off in recent years and is growing very fast with the incentives put in place by governments. "We anticipate a huge growth in the Middle East in the next few years and therefore have established a local office in order to better understand the market needs, as well as exploring new opportunities", said Ehsan Abdi, CEO of Wind Technologies.
The planned 100 MW wind farm is in its initial development stage and a number of larger projects are being approved for construction. "Being involved from the very first stage of development is key for our long term presence in this market", said Ehsan Abdi.
